FACSCOPE® B is an automatic, stand-alone, cell counting system that is based on a bright-field microscopy. It leverages AI through an advanced recognition algorithm, that enables users to observe various cells accurately.
With FACSCOPE® B, irregular cells and aggregated cells can be clearly identified, as well as live and dead cells, making it a valuable tool for various cell-based studies.
FACSCOPE® B works by automatically focusing on the grid of the slide and counting within this frame. This is a unique technique not seen in other cell counters that improves accuracy as it always detecting a constant plane.
Optimal convenience
FACSCOPE® B overcomes the inconveniences associated with conventional haemocytometers through features that include autofocus, customized pre-sets, various counting modes, and user-friendly software.
And FACSCOPE® B analyses larger counting volumes than haemocytometers and other types of cell counters. In precise mode, the counting volume is up to nine times larger.
In addition, the system includes disposable counting slides that eliminate the need to wash slides.
Latest high-performance addition to cell analysis portfolio
PHC Europe continually deepens its commitment to advancing life science by providing laboratories with a growing number of options in cell analysis equipment. The FACSCOPE®B Automated cell counter is the latest addition to its high-quality portfolio in this area.
Workflow

PHC supports researchers with fully integrated solutions that elevate every phase of the cell culture process. Our cutting-edge technologies—such as IncuSafe incubators for maintaining ideal growth conditions, ULT freezers for reliable long-term preservation, and the Facscope® B for accurate, automated cell counting—are designed to boost efficiency, consistency, and cell viability.
Manual cell counting is often time-consuming and prone to human error, leading to inconsistent results and unnecessary delays. The Facscope® B automated cell counter eliminates these challenges, streamlining workflows and freeing researchers to concentrate on more advanced, high-impact experiments—ultimately enhancing overall productivity and research outcomes.
